Cool Springs Real Estate Information

A relatively new and trendy upcoming community located north of Franklin and south of Brentwood, Cool Springs, Tennessee, is right off I-65 about 10 miles from Nashville, the state's capital. The community is located within the confines of Williamson County and is generally considered a part of Franklin, a city which has a population of around 40,000.

Cool Springs developed into a community after the Cool Springs Galleria mall was built in 1991. The area grew around the mall, and more development sprung from it, including the Cool Springs Corporate Center, several luxury hotels, strip malls, business parks, office buildings, apartments, condominiums and restaurants. Average home prices here are around $400,000.

The area also gained its biggest-name occupant in 2008 when it became home to the corporate headquarters of Nissan North America. Other companies also call Cool Springs home, with corporate headquarters of companies like MARS pet care, Health ways, Community Health Systems and Verizon. The nearest commercial airport is Nashville International Airport, less than 15 minutes away by car. The area is home to two golf courses, Nashville Golf & Athletic Club and Vanderbilt Legends Club. Its nearest hospital is just down the highway in Franklin, the Williamson Medical Center.

There are 13 public schools and three private schools in the area, three middle schools, two high schools and eight elementary schools. For post-secondary education, there are around 20 colleges and universities within the region, most notably Vanderbilt University and Tennessee State University. Nearby Nashville offers attractions across the spectrum that will satisfy every interest, from ballet and symphony to professional sports teams and performing arts venues. In nearby Franklin is the Boiler Room Theatre, and Brentwood is home to the Brentwood Summer Concert Series and the Brentwood Design Center.
